Code of conduct for institutions

A certain number of institutions offer a fast and easy procedure for foreign students to apply for a study in Holland. These institutions comply with certain minimal conditions that are comprised in a general Code of Conduct.

These higher education institutions provide timely, reliable and easily accessible information to international students concerning for instance: accreditation of the study programme, language requirements, admission and the laguage of teaching. The entire text can be found in the Code of Conduct, article 2.1.

Founders

The Code of Conduct is a joint iniative of the Dutch government in association with the indepent educational institutions. Specifically involved are:

  • HBO-raad: Belangen- en werkgeversvereniging van de Nederlandse hogescholen ( Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences)
  • SAIL: Council of Institutes for Postgraduate International Education in the Netherlands
  • NRTO: Nederlandse Raad voor Training en Opleiding
  • VSNU: Vereniging van Universiteiten (Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences)
  • DUO: Organization responsible for data maintainance and data storage
