ABOUT us

The code of conduct is a joint iniative of the dutch government in association with the educational institutions. Specifically involved are:

  • HBO-raad: Belangen- en werkgeversvereniging van de Nederlandse hogescholen ( Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences)
  • SAIL: Council of Institutes for Postgraduate International Education in the Netherlands
  • PAEPON: Platform van Aangewezen / Erkende Particuliere onderwijsinstellingen (Association of Accredited Private Higher Education Institutions in the Netherlands)
  • VSNU: Vereniging van Universiteiten (Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences)
  • Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (organization responsible for data maintainance and data storage)

The national Commission is an independent organ with the responsibility of supervising on behaviour of the institutions of education concerning the code of conduct and wether they comply to it. The Commission can take measures against and give recommendations to the institutions.

The Commission also handles complaints which have been filed within the framework of the code of conduct.

The Commission has regular periodical meetings and works according to the rules, as stated in the Reglement REGIS
(dutch text).
